Cigar

Everyone must have seen their grandfathers smoking these fat rolls called a cigar. Essentially, cigars are rolled bundle of tobacco. These tobaccos are either dried or fermented, depending on the product type. Tobaccos are expensive and are usually planted in South or Latin American countries like Cuba, Brazil, Mexico, Nicaragua, and more.

According to researchers, we can trace the origin of tobacco as early as the 10th century when people who inhabited the island of the Caribbean Sea smoked tobaccos in ceramic vessels in the form of pipes. Christopher Columbus introduced tobacco in Europe and in the Bahamas as well. Tobaccos were then planted, aged, and rolled manually in wrappers and it has become a fancy or a fad for the rich people. Making a cigar is considered an art and skill and these businesses are usually owned by family empires whose secret is passed on from generation to generation.

In addition, there are several wrapper types for these babies. The wrappers come from the tobacco plants, too, and are made depending on the preference for flavor, color, and character. A Double Claro is very light and maybe slight to medium green in color. These are made by picking tobacco leaves just short of maturity. Claro is kind of yellowish and Colorado is kind of reddish brown. It is a misconception of many that cigars are judged by the wrapper color. It is not true that the darker the wrapper of the cigar is, the fuller the flavor. The flavor still comes from the tobacco inside, not the wrapper.
